Aquaponics is a long-lasting, affordable alternative to fishing, or conventional fish-farming.

 

• Waste-free (reused fertilizer and water)

• Self-sustaining 

• Provides alternative protein source for Tanzanians

• Eliminates need for imported food products & establishes local economy

• Creates localized food security

• Production is immune to drought, land scarcity, or poor soil quality

 

 

Aquaponics sytems are also highly adaptable, so our efforts would not be exclusive to Tanzania.

 

• Can use recycled materials

• Will work on any scale (home, neighborhood, community...)

• Exist in vertical or horizontal spaces

• Success is not dependent on weather or climate
